Ganado golf

    The Ganado Maidens toughed out cold and windy conditions on Monday to finish 4th place at the Flatonia Bulldog Golf Tournament.

 The Maidens shot 538 as a team, behind Flatonia (464), Weimar (488), and Moulton (533).

    Jaxyn Bures (126) finished in 8th place to lead the Maidens followed by Hannah Kelly (131), Kayleigh Pape (140), Mary Reid (141), and Bella Adrian (144).

      Jordyn Ponewash (106) of Flatonia won the Overall Champion Medalist, followed by T. Smith (107) and D. Kremling (111) of Weimar.

    The Maidens will get to enjoy their Spring Break next week before competing in the El Campo Tournament on March 24th.

    The Ganado Indians golf team shot a season best 412 at the Flatonia Bulldog Golf Tournament to finish 7th place overall on Wednesday.  The tournament featured golfers from 15 different schools around the area.

      Anderson Shiro won the team championship with a total of 374, followed by Hallettsville 385, and Weimar 389.

      Several Indians shot season best scores including Ashton Strauss (91) who finished 6th, Alexis Martinez (102), and Luke Bures (107).  Other Indian scores were Coy Smith (112) and Luke Reid (137).

      The Indians will get to enjoy their Spring Break next week before splitting up to the El Campo and Edna tournaments on March 21st.
