Sherry Ann Novak

    Sherry Ann Novak, 69, of Edna, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020. She was born on Oct. 18, 1950 in Victoria, to Ora A. and Laura Matley.     Sherry was a lifetime resident of Edna and she married the love of her life, Silvester Novak, in September, 1969.     

Sherry is survived by Silvester, her children, Loretta Lynn Olsen, Johnny Carter Novak, and Scott Brian Novak; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Castro, and brothers, Ora Matley, and Edward Matley.     

Sherry loved her country music, attending picnics and watching “her” San Antonio Spurs. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.     

There will be a visitation on Monday, Feb. 3 beginning at 9 a.m. with a Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in LaSalle with the Rev. Barnabas officiating. Interment will follow at St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery.
