Sammie Davis, 70, of Edna, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018. She was born on Monday, Oct. 18, 1937 in Bastrop, Texas to William Samuel and Ruby Lee Palmer Grimes. Sammie is survived by her children Samantha Ahlf, Jimmy W. Davis III, and Mark L. Davis, her four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as her sister; Helen Crisp. There was a graveside service on Tuesday, July 24 at 10 a.m. at Red Bluff Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Russell Todish of Slavik Funeral Home, 361-782-2152.
