Margaret M. Woodring

     Margaret M. Woodring, 77, of Edna, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Margaret was born on Tuesday, August 27, 1946 in Victoria, Texas to Bruce Martin and Dorothy Martin.

     Margaret is survived by her beloved family, sons; Mark W. Shoemake and his wife Zolia of Victoria and Kevin Shoemake and his wife Patty, also of Victoria. Her much beloved grandchildren; Chloe Shoemake, Chad Shoemake, Kinsey Shoemake, Kalie Shoemake and Katana Shoemake, also her great-grandchildren; Kenley Koehl, Theo Rangel, Evee Fowler, Braxton Shoemake, Cayson Drexler, Saylor Drexler, Elias Munoz, Aurora Munoz and Tatum Armstrong, numerous nieces and nephews, also her sister; Shirley Curbello and her husband Ross of George West, Texas. Margaret has also been blessed with step-grandchi dren; Elena Mahan, Bianca Mahan, Olivia Mahan and Isaac Mahan, and step-great-grandchild; Damian Valenzuela.

     Margaret has been preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Dorothy Martin, her much beloved husband Michael Woodring, and her much beloved Great Dane, Abby..

     Margaret was devoted to her family, she was a lifetime member of the NRA in Victoria, Texas, she had worked for Dowell, for Mobil, and a member of Catholic Daughters at St. Agnes Catholic Church, she was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi, but most importantly, she was a mom and grandma.

     Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at St. Agnes Catholic Church from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, with Rosary being recited at 10 a.m., followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. with Father Michael Petering officiating. Interment will follow at Red Bluff Cemetery in Lolita, Texas.

     The pallbearers are Chad Shoemake, Isaac Mahan, Greg Woodring, Wesley Woodring, Blake Woodring, and Eric Woodring, honorary pallbearers were Jeff Woodring, David Woodring, David Muegge, Chris Curbello, Gary Carrier and Steve Warner Martin.

     In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that Memorial Contributions be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church in Edna, Texas.

     Services have been entrusted to Russell Todish of Slavik Funeral Home, 209 N. Allen St., Edna, Texas 77957, 361-782-2152.
