Frances Sykora Smith

    Frances Elaine Sykora Smith was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Justin and Leona Sykora on Feb. 7, 1947. At the age of 71, Frances went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 12, 2018.     Frances was one of 12 children blessed to this family.     Frances is survived by her daughter June and her husband Michael Rogillio, son Eric and his wife Carmen Sacky; grandchildren, Camielle Hernandez and husband Gregory, Averielle LaChappelle, Tyler Sacky and Blake Sacky; siblings Justin Jr. and wife Annyie Sykora, Anton Sykora, Helen Kovar and husband Emil, Wrene Wilson and husband Wayne, Evelyn Cabral, Nancy Prasek and husband Leo, Betty Faas and husband Pat, Robert Sykora and wife Karen, Dannis Sykora, Catherine Dornak and husband Steve.     She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold Smith and sister Vlasts Dzidek.     A Celebration of Life service was held on Oct. 19 at Assumption Catholic Church in Ganado with Rev. Kirby Hlavaty officiating with a Rosary and Funeral Mass. Interment followed at The National Veterans Cemetery in Houston.     Services have been entrusted to Russell Todish of Ganado Funeral Home, 771-2120.
