Clarence Macek

     Clarence Lee Macek passed away at the age of 74 on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Hallettsville Nursing & Rehab Center after a long illness.

     He was born on May 29, 1949 to Martha Cerny Macek and Frank Macek Sr. in El Campo, Texas.

     Clarence was a veteran of the US Army Vietnam War and worked in the oilfield for 35 years and was very dedicated to his work.

     He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an avid fisherman.

     Clarence will be greatly missed by his wife Nitaya, sister Karen Ham (Butch) of Inez, brother Allan Macek of Austin, TX and numerous nieces & nephews.

     He is preceded in death by brothers Charles, Frank Jr., and Edwin Macek & sisters Joyce Faglie and Ada Martin.

     The family would like to thank the nurses and CNA’s of Hallettsville Nursing & Rehab for the care given to our brother during his stay.

     A memorial service will be held on March 9, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Slavik Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Schroer officiating.
