Bobby D. Muncrief
Bobby D, Muncrief, of Edna, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 11, 2023, at the age of 83. He was born in Woodville, Oklahoma on April 10, 1940, to the late Robert D. Muncrief and Vera Lorene Stanford Muncrief.
Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed. He was retired from DuPont in Victoria, Texas and enjoyed sports, playing dominoes and cards, the great outdoors and cheering on his kids and grandchildren at all of their activities. In the past, he also enjoyed skeet shooting and bowling where he was even named City Champ at the Victoria Bowling Alley one year.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Terri Lynne Muncrief; sons, Robert Duane Muncrief (Stephanie), Shannon Muncrief (Kelley); daughter, Misty Perkins (Cy); sister, Shirley Woodard. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren that he thought the world of; Candace Whittley (Shane), Dustin Muncrief (Taryn), Brayndee Muncrief, Jacob Muncrief, Jeffrey Muncrief, Jace Muncrief, Joshua Muncrief, Dylan Perkins, Falyn Perkins; great-grandchildren Karsyn, Kaylin, Karoline, Brynlee, Conner, Kaybree, Kyla, Dawsyn, Emrie, Maylee and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews that he also loved very much.
He is preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Minor Ross; brothers, Errol Vance “Skipper” Muncrief and Johnny Muncrief; nephew, Les Woodard. Pallbearers are Dustin Muncrief, Jacob Muncrief, Jeffrey Muncrief, Jace Muncrief, Joshua Muncrief, and Dylan Perkins.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ralph Cowan, The Windmill Saloon Domino Club, Ray and Todd Hicks, and all of his grand-daughters and great grand-daughters.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., on Thursday, December 14, 2023, in the First Baptist Church in Edna. Burial will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna.
