Pull out your holiday clothes and dust off your dancing shoes. The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture’s  annual Membership Banquet is Saturday, Dec. 1 and it should be a fun event.

This year’s theme is Christmas at Macaroni Station, in honor of the historic train station located in Edna.

Held at the Jackson County Services Building auditorium, the banquet is a great way to get into the holiday spirit.

Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m. with a delicious dinner catered by Werners of Shiner served at 6:45 p.m. The keynote speaker will be Jim Winne, chairman of the board of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Winne is bound to have lots of behind-the-scenes stories that will give us a whole new perspective on one of the largest livestock shows in the state.

One of the highlights of the evening is the presentation of Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, and Ag Producer of the Year.

As a special treat, all individuals seated at Platinum level tables and up will receive a keepsake dated ornament of Macaroni Station. Additional ornaments will be available for purchase at the banquet.

There will also be a silent auction and a dance winds up the evening.     For more information or tickets call the Chamber at 782-7146.
