Exchange student loves Texas, the Zarates and Whataburger

    When Alejandra Castell choose to become an exchange student she secretly had two stipulations: no traveling to Texas and no younger sisters.

    “Then the first thing I see is I’m moving to Texas and I would have three younger sisters.” Castell said looked lovingly at the Zarate family. “And now I love these three girls and without them this whole experience would have been different.”

    A lump raised in the Edna senior’s voice, but she held back the tears, as did Cecelia and Randy Zarate. Castell’s move from Spain happened last August, and she’s leaving to go back home at the end of May. The experience, she said, has been like no other and is unforgettable.
