Edna Athletic Director is subject of investigation

    Edna ISD Athletic Director Jerry Long resigned his position on Monday and is being investigated by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

    “We are conducting an investigation,” Sheriff A.J. Louderback said. Louderback said the investigation is due to inappropriate messaging with a female student.

    The Edna school district is looking for a new Athletic Director but Superintendent Robert O’Conner plans to meet with the board of trustees to determine how they want to go about hiring a new A.D.
