Tied at three in the bottom of the sixth the Industrial Cobras baseball team struck for four two out RBI’s to open up a 7-3 lead over the Bloomington Bobcats on Friday night, and they recorded the final three outs in the top of the seventh to make the score hold up.

Bailey Kolb opened the game by walking two in the first two innings, but he also recorded six strikeouts over the first two and Daniel Gonzales gave the Cobras a first inning 1-0 lead. Gonzales walked, stole second, moved to third on a passed ball, and then came in to score on another passed ball.

“I like getting ahead,” Gonzales said. “Get ahead, stay ahead, and let them work to catch up, but it’s never gonna happen when you play us.”

In the top of the third, Kolb was cruising on the mound, but a hit, a hit by pitch and then a two out double and quickly the Bobcats has jumped to a 2-1 lead. But the Cobras would answer right back.
