Ganado Softball Makes State Championship, Must Win 2 Straight to Advance

The Ganado Majors Little League softball team opened the state tournament with a 7-6 victory over Jasper on Friday night. After a rainout on Saturday, Ganado lost to Columbus on Sunday, 11-1, to fall in to the losers side of the bracket, where they had to face Jasper for a second time. Ganado once again defeated Jasper by one run, winning 4-3, to earn a spot in the Championship where Columbus waits for them. Because they enter from the losers side of the bracket, Ganado will have to win two straight games to advance on to the United States Regional Tournament.
Championship Game One; Tonight at 6 p.m.
If Ganado wins game one, Game two will be tonight at 8 p.m.
