Ganado holds on for a close homecoming victory

    With 4:52 left in Ganado’s homecoming football game, Logan Hurt connected with his brother Riley Hurt for a 38 touchdown that gave Ganado a 19 to 18 lead over Louise. Ganado opted to go for the two point conversion. Logan Hurt was unable to find an open receiver, so he carried the ball himself and had just enough room for a successful two point conversion. Those two points secured the win for the Indians.

    Ganado’s defense stood strong all night but they did get burned a couple of times on long passes, so as the clock ticked down, every time the Louise quarterback would drop back and unleash a deep pass, the crowd held their breath. But the Indian defense stood up to the task, getting two interceptions in the final five minutes of the game. And then on Louise’s final drive, Vincent Aguilar got a sack to finish off Louise and Ganado walked away with a 21-20 homecoming win.
