Shirley Crabb

    Shirley Pearson Crabb, 83, of Edna, went to be with the Lord on May 5, 2019. She was born on December 27, 1935, in Dobbin, Texas, to the late John Thomas Pearson and Vertis Scarborough Pearson.     Shirley was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.     Shirley is survived by her children, Cheryll (George) Gregory, Randal (Veronica) Crabb, Danna (Steve) Miller, Nancy Kubecka, Melissa Crabb Slusher, Ben Crabb, and Michael (Rebecca) Crabb; her son-in-law, Allen Salge; her sister, Patsy Pearson Quinn; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Chad), Jake (Megan), Michelle (Shelton), Randy (Bri), Laraina (Josh), Lindsey, Shane, Cody (Cynthia), Coley, Mandi (B.J.), Jessica (Adam), Jeremy (Leonda), Colby, Chad (Marlissa), Brandon (Chelsea), Blaine, and Keaton; and her 22 great-grandchildren; along with her beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends.     In addition to her parents, her daughter, Donna Salge; her grandson, James Ray Salge; two sisters, Barbara Pearson Townsend and Elizabeth Pearson Clark; two brothers, Lonnie G. Pearson and Jonnie Pete Pearson precede Shirley in death.     Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna. Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., on Friday, May 10, also in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna. Interment will follow in the Red Bluff Cemetery in Lolita, with Rev. Kelli Williamson officiating.     Pallbearers are Jake Gregory, Randy Wayne Crabb, Cody Salge, Coley Salge, Shane Salge, Colby Bazan, Jeremy Bazan, Chad Slusher, Brandon Slusher, Blaine Crabb, and Keaton Crabb. Honorary Pallbearers are remaining grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their spouses.     The family would like to express very special thanks to Dr. Diane Mercado, and the Jackson County Medical Clinic, and hospital staff, as well as the Hospice of South Texas staff for their compassion and devotion to making the family so comfortable, along with a special thanks to Lesli, Lisa, Jeannie, Dee, and Rebecca for everything they have done.
