Patricia Ann Swain Folmar, 85 of Edna and formerly of Boling passed away at her residence in Edna, Tx on January 2, 2021.  She was born on July 28, 1935 in Gallipolis, OH to the late Charles Swain and Elsie Bragg Swain.

 

Patricia worked as a substitute teacher.  She was married to Dan Richard Folmar, Sr. on July 29, 1954 and he preceded her in death in 2010.  Patricia was a Christian woman.  She loved to fish, eat, shop, dance, swim, attend sporting events, and play cards.  She enjoyed being around people and loved to go out.  She was known for the funny stories of her childhood, although you may have heard them many times, she always made you laugh.  In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Nancy Swain, Linda Swain and Martha Robey; brothers, Richard, Clark, Robert and James Madison Swain.

 

She is survived by her sons, Dan Richard Folmar, Jr. and partner, Diane Fields of Benton, AR, James Madison Folmar and wife, Bonnie of Rosenberg and Larry Glenn Folmar and wife, Carrie of Edna; brother, Charles Swain, Jr.; grandchildren, Cody Ryan Folmar, Aubrie Nykole Torquemeda and husband, Kyle, Kendan Kyle Folmar and wife, Kelsey, Blake Cameron Folmar and wife, Kyndir, Drew Michael Folmar, Emily Ann Folmar, Sandra Renee Click and husband, Brad, and Jaclyn Annette Lundstrom and husband, Stephen; great grandchildren, Eleanor Jane Folmar, Kyndzee Rae Folmar, Kambree Mae Folmar and Emma Kate Lundstrom.

 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 starting at 5-7 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home.  A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 2 p.m. at El Campo Church of Christ with Rev. John Mc Cord officiating.  A burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Van Vleck.
