Linda Dianne Shutt-Browning

Linda Dianne Seale Shutt-Browning went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2019 at the age of 71. She was born on February 29, 1948 in Temple, TX, to the late Charles Douglas Seale and Mary Ellen Griffin Seale.     

She was brought up knowing Jesus as her Lord and Savior and spent her life serving others. She had a compassion for helping others through her volunteer work and was well known for her smile and infectious laugh.   

Linda graduated from Pleasanton High School as Salutatorian in 1966. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in Political Science from SWT, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1994. Linda served as Executive Vice President of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Administrative Assistant for the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce, and Administrative Manager for CTHEA. In addition, Linda was the Volunteer Coordinator for Hospice of South Texas.     

Linda has been preceded in death by her sister, Lajuana Browning and parents.     

Linda is survived by her husband of 27 years, Jerry; three daughters, Lindsay Ruppert (Jeff) Deedre Greschel (Eddie) and Laura Dickey; nephew, Tommy Browning (Laure); and niece, Stacey Powell (Mark); 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.     

There will be a visitation beginning at 3 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 4 p.m .at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Edna on Sunday, July 28. Interment will be held at the Bartlett Texas Cemetery.   

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Edna or Hospice of South Texas.     

Services have been entrusted to Russell Todish of Slavik Funeral Home, Edna, 361-782-2152.
