Daryl William Taylor

     Daryl William Taylor, “Pops”, of Edna, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the age of 61. He was born in Abilene, Texas on December 25, 1960, to Doyce William Taylor and Carolyn Carlock Taylor.

    Daryl was a loving Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend. He was an Airforce Veteran, 19-year Chemical Operator, and owner/operator of DWT’s Poly Foam Concrete Leveling Inc. He was also a devout Christian man of God, and served as a Royal Ambassador and youth leader for many years.

    He will be fondly remembered as being a devoted family man, avid outdoorsman, and robust Scotch and cigar aficionado. He was a gentle giant larger than life and had an even bigger heart and gave the most amazing bear hugs. Daryl was a stranger to none, loved abundantly, and will be deeply missed.

    Daryl is survived by his loving wife of almost 28 years, Debra Dybala Taylor; his mother, Carolyn Sue Taylor; daughter, Christina Fox (Brandon); sons, Michael Taylor (Sarah) and Alex Taylor; and brothers, Geryl Taylor (Lana) and Teryl Taylor (Kristi). Daryl is also survived by his grandchildren, Jozef, Jayden, Grasin, Lola, Kingston, Meadow, and Eden.

    He is preceded in death by his father, Doyce William Taylor and son, Jarrett Parker.

    Pallbearers were Geryl Taylor, Teryl Taylor, Michael Taylor, Alex Taylor, Brandon Fox, Jozef Taylor, Carter Pope, and Austin Fielder. Alternate Pallbearers will be Jayden Fox, Forrest Karl, Christopher Taylor, Jay Taylor, Kody Taylor and Kory Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers were Carolyn Taylor, Christina Fox and Sarah Taylor.

     Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., at First Baptist Church in Edna, Texas. Interment followed in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna. Reverend Robert Krause officiated.
