Bonnie Bell Durham

Bonnie Bell McCormack Durham, 91, of Edna was born on December 23, 1926 in East Texas (Mount Enterprise, Texas) and passed away on March 21, 2018 at The Home Place in Ganado, Texas. Bonnie met the love of her life, Frank Henry Durham, Sr., and they spent 52 amazing years raising four loving children and creating a lifetime of cherished memories. Bonnie was a homemaker and will always be remembered by her loving children as a mom who loved unconditionally, She was not only a wonderful mother but a grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and dear friend who will be truly missed. Bonnie is survived by her loving children, Margaret Ann (Bobby) Bell, Patsy Ruth (Frank) Smith, Cathy Sue (Bobby) Goggans and Frank Henry (Teresa) Durham, Jr.; five grandchildren; Jennifer Lawrence LaFrance, Amy Lawrence, Kristyn Payne, Kendall Durham (Lance) Tipton, and Montana Mote; three step-grandchildren, B.J. (Ashley) Bell, Trisha (Tye) Hancock, and Tyler Goggans; six great-grandchildren; Devon LaFrance, Hayden LaFrance, Ty LaFrance, Lee Ray Payne, Taylor Lee Tipton, and Durham Ann Tipton; four step-great-grandchildren, Rollins Hancock, Grayson Hancock, Savannah Bell, and Jackson Bell; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to her parents Bonnie is proceeded in death by her husband, Frank Henry Durham, Sr.; sisters, Magdalene (Jack) Keith, Ruth Akin, Katherine Phillips, and Quinney Lee Barrett; brothers, Dawson McCormack and Alfred McCormack. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018, 10:00 A.M., in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will begin immediately following the visitation at 11:00 A.M., also in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Robert Krause will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Harbor Hospice of Victoria, 5606 N. Navarro Suite #306, Victoria, TX 77904 or First Baptist Church of Edna; P.O. Box 471, Edna, Texas 77957 – Memorial Fund; or donor’s choice. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Dugger House, The Home Place and Harbor Hospice for their excellent and special care of our loving mother during the last three years.
