Adrian Alexander DeLeon

    Adrian Alexander DeLeon, of Edna, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019, at the age of 22. He was born in Victoria, on January 28, 1997, to Derrick Ramos and Jennifer DeLeon Ramos.     Adrian was a devoted son, father, husband, brother, grandson, great-grandson, uncle, nephew, and dear friend who had a big loving heart. He touched the lives of many and will be remembered for his genuine smile. His two sons were his world he loved them dearly. He was blessed to have his great-grandmother, Nora DeLeon,in his life who he visited often, and they enjoyed meals together especially breakfast on weekends. Adrian enjoyed mudding and revving his truck, the outdoors, and fishing with his two brothers, Justin and Maleak, along with all the cherished memories and fishing experiences, he had with his great-grandfather “Chico.” Adrian was deeply adored by his parents, brothers, extended family, and sincere friends. Adrian will be truly missed but never forgotten.     Adrian is survived by his loving sons, Xaine Aleczander and Brantley Leonardo DeLeon; parents, Derrick and Jennifer Ramos; wife, Giselle Morales DeLeon; grandparents, Johnny DeLeon, Margarette Wright, Rudy and Sandra Gonzales; great-grandmothers, Nora DeLeon and Guadalupe Ramos; brothers: Justin and Meleak Ramos; niece and nephew, Serenity Norman-Ramos and Lorenzo Ramos; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and amazing friends.     Adrian is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Jacinto “Chico” DeLeon, Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Zambrano Sr. and Pete Ramos Sr.; numerous aunts, uncles, family from DeLeon, Ramos, Zambrano, and Garcia relatives.     Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., with the rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m., in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., on Thursday, July 18, in Redeemer Lutheran Church of Edna, burial following at the Latin American Cemetery of Edna, with Rev. Aaron Glaeske officiating.     Pallbearers will be Justin Ramos, Meleak Ramos, JJ DeLeon, Ricky Ramirez, Joey Heard, and Justin Yendrey. Honorary pallbearers are Christopher DeLeon, Matthew DeLeon, Magaly Ramirez, Ricky Ramirez, and Abdiel Maximilliano Vargas.     Arrangements are under the direction of Oaklawn Funeral Home in Edna. 361-782-2221.
