Paul Littlefield
Paul Littlefield

He sure loved the simple things in life, but his impact on this earth was profound.
Paul Koop Littlefield, 71, of Edna, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026. Born on October 1, 1954, in Victoria, Texas, he was a devoted husband for 49 years to his best friend, Debbie, and a loving father to his three daughters who adored him. He was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Edna, Texas, served in many roles over the years, and loved his church family.
Paul considered himself a common man living a common life, but those who knew him understood the exceptional nature of his presence, his love, and his faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. He built a beautiful life and family, and lived out his faith in the Lord Jesus through humility, hard work, loyalty, and service to others. He volunteered on numerous boards in an effort to serve others in Jackson County.
Planting 27 crops over the years, he worked the land and spent his time with farmers and friends in our area. He was a lifelong Industrial Cobra. After graduating high school in 1973, he could always be found sporting his Cobra ball cap as he supported teams year after year, served on the district school board, and cheered on his precious grandchildren.
Paul and Debbie met in the fall of 1974 at Southwest Texas State University. Paul knew the night they met that he had met his forever, as they sat in the Jack in the Box parking lot and talked until 6 in the morning. While in San Marcos, he earned a B.S. in Education, cherished his time with Lambda Chi Alpha, and kept in touch with his chapter brothers.
Paul knew how to enjoy life. He could ride a wheelie on a dirtbike like no other, create the highest roostertail on a water ski, show off his skills in the snow on a ski slope, hang out with his brothers and friends playing dominoes, maneuver a tractor like a pro, and use a shovel in the most steady and determined way. His love of work was shared with his children and grandchildren. He would always say that his girls were the best buggy drivers, and he left the most beautiful mark on his grandchildren as he taught them to drive, trusted them to work the equipment, guided them as they repaired and maintained the engines, and loved them deeply.
He is preceded in death by his father, Roe Littlefield, his mother, Enid Koop Littlefield, and his brother, John Littlefield.
He is survived by his brothers Frank Littlefield (Nancy) and Jack Littlefield (Jo), his wife, Debbie Moseley Littlefield, his daughters, Becky Moss (Brian), Lisa Bullock (Cody), and Mary Beth Fuller (Layne), his 11 grandchildren (in order by age), Elise Bullock, Micah Moss, Cort Bullock, Sarah Moss, Isaiah Moss, Eli Fuller, Callista Bullock, Everett Fuller, Hadassah Moss, Joella Fuller, and Jude Fuller.
When his grandchildren came along, he always said he had finished his work in this life and was ready to go to the Lord when it was time.
Although his absence feels overwhelming, he lives on through the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
As he always said, it’s not goodbye–it’s see you later. When his grandsons would leave the house, he would tell them, “You’re a good man.” We all feel the same in saying, “You’re a good man, Paul Littlefield. You’re a good man.” Pallbearers are Clifford Born, David Crockett, Jimmie Hooks, Kirby Edwards, Stephen Henry, John Miller, Sam Matlock, and David Webel.
Honorary pallbearers are his Lambda Chi brothers, domino buddies, and all the elders and members of St. Paul who kept the church going since 1912.
