January 6, 2004 - February 24, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kayden Shane Miller 22, of Salado, TX, who left this world far too soon on February 24, 2026.

Born on January 26, 2004 in Round Rock TX, Kayden brought strength, laughter, and a deep love for the outdoors into the lives of everyone who knew him. From the time he was young, he felt happiest in the outdoors enjoying nature and the beauty God created.

Whether walking quietly through the woods at dawn or casting a line into still waters at sunset it was where he felt most at home. Hunting and fishing were more than hobbies to him— they were traditions he cherished, skills he patiently honed, and passions he loved sharing with family and friends.

Kayden had a steady spirit and a generous heart. He was the kind of young man who would wake before sunrise to help a friend track deer, who knew the best fishing spots by memory, and who found peace in fishing all day even when he came up empty handed. He enjoyed telling his hunting and fishing experiences to anyone who would listen, and laughing with those he loved.

Those moments meant more to him than anything money could buy (Unless it was Sitka gear). Through his life he played soccer, baseball, football, lacrosse, cross country, shot archery where he went to State twice and Nationals once, and was on his high school fishing team in Georgetown and

Salado winning accolades such as 7th place angler of the year in 2018-2019 and second place angler of the year in 2021-2022. More recently Kayden got involved in varmint hunting tournaments and skeet shooting where he earned such titles as Reserve

Champion Team

of Rodeo Austin Shootout and was 3 rd place high individual shooter in the Jason Pennington Memorial Clay Shoot 2025.

He was a devoted son, a loyal friend, and a proud brother. His family was his anchor, and he carried their values of hard work, honesty, and kindness into every part of his life. Those who knew him will remember his easy smile, his firm handshake, and the quiet determination that guided him.

He is survived by his loving parents, Justin and Leigh Miller; his younger siblings Kalan and Kinleigh who looked up to him for brotherly advice; his grandparents, Buddy and Brenda Miller and Linda Hayman; Two aunts, Kami Muschalek (Darrell) and Kristi Schneider, a family full of cousins, a soon to be fiance Danielle Roby and her parents Lorne and Karen Roby who will forever cherish his memory.

He was welcomed to heaven by his brother Colton Shane Miller; Aunt Memry Miller; and Papa John Hayman.

A visitation was held at Heritage Country Church in Salado, TX on February 28, 2026 at 12:30 pm, followed by a service celebrating his life. He was laid to rest next to his brother in Georgetown, TX at IOOF Cemetery.

In honor of his love for the outdoors, the family encourages donations to the Salado Fishing Club where sponsorships will be given in his name. This organization was special to Kayden as he was instrumental in its creation to inspire the love of the outdoors to future generations. Though his time with us was brief, Kayden lived fully and left footprints in the fields, wakes in the water, and love in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May we find comfort knowing he has found eternal peace in the great outdoors he treasured so dearly in heaven.

Pallbearers are: his brother Kalan Miller, his cousins Weston and Caleb Muschalek and Ashton Schneider and beloved friends: Brazos Farr, Tyler Forbis, Cason Faske, and Colton Norman.
