Connie Lee Tuttle Marek of Edna, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the age of 59, surrounded by her family. She was born in Yoakum, Texas, on September 23, 1966, to James Roland Tuttle and Shirley Jean Collins Tuttle.

Connie held positions in the meat market and service departments at HEB before starting her family. She was a mother and homemaker. She enjoyed raising her three children and caring for her husband.

She was also a staunch supporter of special education, especially advocating for students’ rights. She loved babies, and enjoyed babysitting for family and friends her entire life.

The most recent recipient of Connie’s maternal nurturing was her beautiful granddaughter.

Connie is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Clint Marek, sons Colton Marek and Colin Marek, daughter Cassidy Marek-Hulbert (Paul, Jr.), granddaughter Emily Hulbert, sisters Sherri Tuttle Gonzalez and Kristi Tuttle, brother Trent Tuttle, and numerous nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces.

Connie is preceded in death by an infant in miscarriage, her parents, paternal grandparents George and Minnie Hoffer Tuttle, and maternal grandparents Robert Leroy and Cecil Wilkerson Collins.

The family of Connie received visitors Tuesday, February 10 at 5 p.m., and a rosary was held at 6:30 p.m. at the Oaklawn chapel. A funeral service was held Wednesday, February 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the Oaklawn chapel.

Honored pallbearers were Clint Marek; Colton Marek; Paul Hulbert, Jr.; Carter Marek; Zach Fregosi; and Manual Hernandez.

Honorary pallbearer was Colin Marek.
