Joan V. Johnson,

89, of Lolita, TX., passed away peacefully in the home that she has lived in for the last 67 years on December 28, 2025. Joan was born on December 14, 1936, to parents Joe Walter Tomas and Agnes Pratka Tomas.

Joan is survived by daughter Cynthia Johnson Hlavaty, son Richard Johnson and wife Elida Johnson Grandson, TJ Johnson and fiancee Sunshine and daughter Ellie, and her beloved dogs Lucky #2 and Lizzy.

Joan loved plants and loved working in her yard and flower beds.

Joan also loved dogs and she was called The Dog Lady of Lolita anytime there was a stray dog that would come with her to live and have a forever home.

Joan is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Agnes Tomas, husband John Frank Johnson, son Douglas Johnson, brothers James (Butch) Tomas, LeRoy Tomas, Daniel (Hotrod) Tomas, and sister Mary Lynn Venglar.
