Alice Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, niece, cousin, and dear friend who will be missed dearly. Along with the love she had for her family she possessed a gentle spirit.
She grew in wisdom while attending Edna ISD schools and graduated with the class of 1977. She attended both Wharton County Junior College and Texas Southern University in pursuit of higher education.
Alice Jean worked at the Edna Daycare Centers. She also loved playing digital solitaire, doing word searches, and she was very dedicated to watching her daytime soap operas.

January 1, 1959 — July 4, 2025
in marriage to Darrell Lee Dean in March of 2010.
To cherish her memory she leaves behind her husband Darrell Lee Dean; mother-in-law, Adell Dilworth; daughter, Shayla Stovall (Frankie); step-daughter, Aireanna Allen-Green; two sons, Ryan Stovall (Kristen) and Broderick Kip Stovall; step-sons, Shambry National and Darryl National; granddaughter, Kaylee Rhyan Stovall; three step-grandchildren, Terrell National, Te’Ambrie National, and Tesean National; and her fur grand pup, Nico. As well as her uncle Kenneth Tones (Shirley); aunts, Johnell Callis, Audrey Tones, and bonus aunt Ezell Cross; Cousin/Sissy, Sue Robinson; along with lifelong friends, Kathleen Brigham and Diane Randle- Beauregard; goddaughter, Lornetta Mitchell; and a host of relatives and friends.
The Pallbearers were Milton Jenkins, Keith Childs, Eric Lindsey, Joe Mendoza, Erick Sheppard, and Christopher Tones.
Services for Alice Jean Stovall-Dean were held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation was from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by the Funeral from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with the burial at Mount Olive Cemetery in Edna.
