Charlie Kroll Jr. May 16, 1937 — May 4, 2025
He was born May 16, 1937, in Grimes County, Anderson, TX to the late Charlie Sr. and Clara Kroll. Charlie married the love of his life Dorothy on May 11, 1958, in Port Lavaca, Texas. They had 3 children, Mike, Tresa, and Greg. Charlie retired from Equistar after 35 years. He lived in Pasadena, Texas from 1962 to 1999 until moving to Edna, Texas.
Once in Edna and because of his love for old country music he took over the Flag City Opry for 13 years. He loved fishing, hunting, and most of all spending time with his family.
He was greeted in Heaven by his loving wife, Dorothy Kroll, his son, Mike Kroll, and his parents. He left on earth his daughter, Tresa Isbell, husband Jace of Danbury, son, Greg Kroll, wife Nancy of Mont Belvieu, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
The family received friends on Tuesday May 13, 2025 beginning at 10 am at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Edna with a rosary to be recited at 10:30 am and the Mass of Christian Burial began 11 am. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Edna Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Patrick Kelley, Scotty Lusty, Omar Ayala, Randy Boyd, Jack Cummings and Craig Schmidt. Honorary pallbearers include John James, Roy Ortolon, David Curlee and the Members of the Flag City Opry Band.
