Pauline Leila Ellis
Pauline Leila Ellis, of Edna, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 18, 2022, at the age of 96. She was born in Victoria, Texas on March 23, 1926, to the late Paul Otto Gebhardt and Gladys Gillig Gebhardt.
Pauline married William Bruce “Bull” Ellis in 1945 in Victoria and they had a long and happy life together. She was a teacher, a business office manager, and a 50-plus year member of Eastern Star. She loved to travel, read, work puzzles, and collect coins. Until she was no longer physically able, she was a very active member of First United Methodist Church in Edna.
Pauline is survived by her daughters, Barbara Peeples, Kathy Snyder (Bill), and Paula Pierce (Steve); eight grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; one nephew; and her two beloved dogs.
Pauline is preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, William “Bull” Ellis; her parents, Paul and Gladys Gebhardt; and one sister.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 10 a.m. in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna, Texas. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Victoria, Texas.
