This morning  the Edna  Wells Fargo was robbed.

"At approximately 10:57 we were alerted by alarm and shortly thereafter the Wells Fargo workers called and said they had been robbed," Edna police Captain Bruce McConathy said. "No weapons were displayed, and the robber took an undisclosed amount of money.

"The suspect is a heavy set Hispanic female about five foot tall who was wearing a cap and glasses. We have an ATL (attempt to locate)  on a black four door car with temporary tags. There was a male driving the vehicle. FBI is working on this with us as well."

McConathy said nobody was harmed and the workers are in good spirts despite the robbery.

The Edna Wells Fargo will reopen tomorrow morning at the normal time.
