Edna Junior High student ropes his way to the finals

    He wakes up before dawn, and puts on a purple and blue plaid “good luck” shirt. Mighty Mouse, his quarterhorse, is guided into the trailer. Then, they head down to the Rodeo.

    This is a normal weekend for 13-year-old Cade Muegge. What keeps this Edna Junior High School student motivated? Support from his family, dedication to his passion, and having fun.

    By the time he was 6 years old, Cade had started competing in rodeos. He’s had a love for  horses since he can remember. His parents, Jamye and Casey Muegge, were involved in the rodeo for years.

     “It all started when my parents put me on a horse as soon as I could walk,” Cade said.
