Jose Benitez

    Jose Benitez went to be with the Lord on Sunday March 27, 2022, at the age of 64. He was born August 31, 1957, in Victoria, Texas to the late Pedro and Olivia Benitez.

    Jose worked as a Mechanic for Inteplast. He was U.S. Marine veteran. Jose was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed watching the news and old military movies.

    In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters Guadalupe Luna and Beatrice Cisneros and brothers Baby David, Agapito, Felix, Edwardo and David Benitez.

    He is survived by his partner, Loretta Bazan of 23 years, his previous spouse Katherine Benitez; sons Joe (Jessie) Benitez, Alexander (Melissa) Benitez of Ohio and Joseph Benitez of Lolita, Texas; daughters Sylvia Benitez, Mary (Joseph) Brumley and Olivia Benitez of Ohio; brothers Peter and Juan Benitez; sister Josephine Benitez; 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

    Funeral services were held on April 9, at the First Baptist Church of Lolita, Texas. Interment followed in Lolita Cemetery.
