Ganado has a new Raz-zle dazzle

Ganado has a new Raz-zle dazzle

The Ganado City Council has hired a new city secretary, Perri Raz, and she’s excited to be at the helm of continuing to steer Ganado in the right direction.

She grew up in Louise, but moved across Mustang Creek to Ganado in 2001.

Her and husband, Bo, have three children, two of whom graduated from GISD: her oldest son in 2011 and her daughter in 2017.

“Bo and I are members of the Ganado Methodist Church, and we’ve been involved with the youth fellowship group,” Raz said.

“We also sang as a part of the church’s praise band.”

If you’ve seen her but unsure as to where, Raz worked for Hurt’s Wastewater Management for five years and then spent 18 years with J & J Pipe and Supply.

Raz said she realized

Ganado citizens should have no fear about Raz taking over as city secretary, her business background and office experience in her previous jobs will help her on the business side of the city.

“I’m just looking forward to being a part of the community and bringing new things to the area, a fresh perspective,” she said. “Kristi (Rogers) left some big shoes for me to fill, she’s done an amazing job.”

Raz expressed her excitement for the community outreach events Ganado hosts each year, such as Christmas on the Square. She is eager to take on the planning role this time, rather than just participating. She is also looking forward to seeing how everything unfolds and discovering the amount of work required behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly.

“I’m truly amazed by the warmth I’ve encountered since arriving here. Every employee, council member, and resident I’ve met has been incredibly welcoming and genuine,” Raz said. “Having spent some time working in an office and feeling a bit detached, I’m looking forward to this fresh opportunity to engage face-to-face with people.”

So if you happen to be near the city council office, stop by and tell Perri Raz hello.
