We’re experiencing a severe blood shortage in Jackson County and many other neighboring communities. We have less than a 1-day supply of both O-negative and O-positive blood along with being under projected for all other blood types by three plus days. The need for blood is constant and we’re in desperate need of blood donors and sponsors. Please make your commitment to make a difference at one of these upcoming blood drives.
Jackson County Hospital on Saturday, June 18 from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. Walk-ins are always welcome and we have a goal to collect 20 units of life-saving blood.
FUMC Edna on Sunday, June 21st from 9 AM – 2 PM. Walk-ins welcome and we have a goal to collect 15 units of blood.
Finally, we’re looking for five more blood drive sponsors in June,15 more in July, and 20 or more in August.
