Celebrating America 250 - Trivia Night in Jackson County was well recognized when Eleanor Brackenridge Literary Club’s Trivia Night welcomed dignitaries from near and far. The event highlighted the many ways to see America’s history through far reaching questions plus providing a vast group of young ladies with a chance for future college experiences. A total of 23 teams competed and among them were folks from a variety of backgrounds across Jackson County but also included were a Lake Texana camping couple from Ohio, visitors from nearby locales, family from out of the area and, of course, all those who just love having a great time! EBLC was profoundly honored to have the South Texas District President, Cammie Hyatt and her daughter travel to help the local club by joining a team to aid the fundraising event. At the conclusion of the outstanding evening the teams were awarded winning plaques.
First Place: The Still Smart team of Reba Roberson, Pat Norrell, Louis Kozelsky, Gail Jordan, Jocelyn Kozelsky, Dorothy Johnson, Mary Catherine Lewis and Fred Mease.
Second Place: The Tuesday Club of Aidan Svoboda, Sean Svoboda, Hannah Hyatt, Cammie Hyatt, So. Tx. District President Frank Conron, and John Condron.
Third Place (tie): Balcony Baptist team of Session Howell, Shelby Scarborough, Sam Hoersten, Kate Howell, Kurtis Koop, Jonathan Anders, Worth Whitley, and Clay Whitley.
