The Industrial Cobras and Ganado Maidens made quick work of their first round opponent, with three shut-outs, two no-hitters, and two 15run rule wins.
Industrial took down Stockdale 17-0 in their one game playoff. Ava Collins stood out in the circle and at the plate, pitching a one hit, striking out eight, and hitting a homerun and driving in four.
The Maidens swept their two games over Kenedy 8-0 and 16-0 with Saylor Bures not allowing a hit in either game and striking out 24 in the two games. In the series, Raelynn Pena picked up three hits, a homerun, and five RBI’s.
Next up is the Area round. Ganado (27-2-1) and Three Rivers (27-5) will play a single game on April 30 in Yoakum at 6:30.
Industrial (20-2-1) will face Jourdanton (23-52). Area details weren’t available at press time.
