To accommodate a shoreline preservation and public access improvement project, administered by Jackson County with grant funds provided by Matagorda Bay Mitigation Trust, public access to the boat ramp and shoreline will be closed at FM616 and the Lavaca River in Lolita, Texas, effective March 30, 2026. This project is expected to be complete no later than August 31, 2026.
