The Jackson County Master Gardeners will host an educational seminar on Wednesday, April 15, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Jackson County Services Building at 411 N. Wells.
Loris Garrett will give a talk on “All Things Daylilies.” Mrss Garrett is a member of the BrazosportDaylily Society, a group of gardeners and plant breeders devoted to the ever-adaptable flower.Together with his wife Sandy, they run a registered American Daylily Society Display Garden. Mr. Garrett will give a talk on the different types, fertilizers, and maintenance of daylilies. These are just a few of the topics to be covered. He is a daylily expert and hybridizer specialist who is highly active in local, state, and national daylily society.
