The Ganado Townhall Players are welcoming Jackson County folks back to Tuna, Texas for five dates, beginning April 18.
Red, White and Tuna, a play by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears, and Ed Howard, brings to life 20 wacky characters, played by nine cast members, and directed by Virgil Knowlton. It will be the third “Tuna” production that’s graced the Townhall Players’ stage, the newest of almost 30 plays since the organization’s founding.
Characters like Tuna’s resident animal rescuer Petey Fisk, Didi Snavely of Didi’s Used Weapons, and Vera Carp, a holier- than-thou big fish in a small pond, all come together to provide laughs and life lessons in an Independence Day celebration goes very wrong, but somehow right.
The show opens on April 18 with shows on April 18, 19, 24, 25, and 26, with three evening shows and two Sunday afternoon matinees. Tickets include dinner and can be purchased at rearwindowlisteningroom. com
