Jackson County Hospital District is inviting community members with a heart for service to step forward and make a difference. JCHD is announcing a renewed push for volunteers and the return of a beloved tradition: the JCHD Blue Belles.
Community members interested in learning more are invited to attend an informational luncheon on Wednesday, February 26 at 11:30 a.m. in the hospital conference room. Those planning to attend are encouraged to RSVP by February 23.
Hospital leaders have said the volunteer program is being revitalized to strengthen the connection between the hospital and the community it serves. Volunteers assist in a variety of meaningful ways, from welcoming patients with door decorations and tray-favors to supporting special events and lending a helping hand behind the scenes.
As part of this renewed effort, the district has announced plans to revive the JCHD Blue Belles, a long-standing volunteer auxiliary known for service, hospitality, and community spirit. The Blue Belles once played a cherished role within the hospital, and leaders hope to rebuild the group with both returning and new members who share a passion for caring for their neighbors.
The informational luncheon will provide a relaxed and informative setting for anyone curious about becoming involved. Whether retired, working part-time, a student seeking service hours, or simply someone looking to give back, all are welcome.
