Position sought:
Commissioner Precinct 4 Resident of the precinct since: I have been resident of Jackson County Precinct 4 for 35 years.
Name of spouse and children: I have been married to Penny Johs Bloom for 37 years. We have two sons, Justin Bloom (wife Rebecca), and Jason Bloom. I have four grandkids, Maddie, Elvy, Trevor and Levi, who are also residents of Education: I’m a graduate of Tidehaven High School.
Employment: Foreman for Jackson County Precinct 4
Clubs/organizations: My hobbies mostly consist of outdoor activities with the family. I am involved with many car organizations that put on car shows for fundraisers for many communities.
Qualifying previous experience: After graduating, I worked for Blessing Lumber Co., working my way to manager until the lumber company was sold. I have worked for two Jackson County farmers for a total of 24 years until taking a job at Jackson County Precinct 4, where I have been employed for 11 years. I have spent 10 years working as a foreman under our current commissioner. There, I know what the commissioner’s job consists of.
Reasons seeking the position: I am dedicated to giving my full time to the needs of our residents, friends and family of Jackson County Precinct 4 for the now and the future.
Other pertinent information: As Forman for JC Pct. 4 for 10 years, I know the duties and time it takes to be your commissioner. I am ready to take on these responsibilities as your commissioner. I will manage our budget wisely in getting our parts, supplies and materials needed to maintain our precinct.
