Downtown Edna will come alive with twinkling lights, festive music, delicious treats, and a full day of community celebration as the City of Edna and the Edna Business Association join forces to host the annual Miracle on Main Christmas Festival on Saturday, December 6.
This year’s event promises more activities than ever, offering something for families, shoppers, and holiday enthusiasts of all ages.
The day kicks off as Resolve Pilates Studio and the Edna Police Department team up to host the Jingle Jog or Walk. Participants can register beginning at 8:30 a.m., and the fun run/walk will start at 9 a.m. at 205 W. Main.
The event is free to join, but attendees are encouraged to bring an unwrapped children’s toy to support the Edna PD’s Christmas donation drive.
After crossing the finish line, runners and walkers will be treated to donuts and coffee.
Festivities continue as the courthouse lawn transforms into a bustling holiday market starting around 2 p.m. Shoppers can browse local vendors and enjoy the sounds of live music from Jeremy Ryan, performing from 2 to 4 p.m.
Christmas carolers will stroll through downtown from 4 to 5 p.m., followed by a special performance from Redeemer Lutheran Church from 5 to 6 p.m.
Something new this year, festival organizers are inviting everyone to show off their holiday baking talents in an open Christmas Baking Contest. With no entry fee and no rules, participants are encouraged to bake their favorite Christmas treat and submit it at Edna City Hall between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
The top baker will win a $50 gift card— and the special honor of riding in the Christmas parade aboard the antique fire truck.
Throughout the afternoon, Edna’s businesses will offer seasonal specials, making it the perfect time to shop local and support the community. Families will also find plenty to enjoy, including bounce houses, sidewalk chalk, and children’s crafts.
Santa Claus himself will be greeting visitors in front of the Christmas tree from 3 to 5 p.m., and will be ready for photos and holiday wishes.
The highlight of the evening—Edna’s annual Lighted Christmas Parade—will begin promptly at 6 p.m., lighting up Main Street.
Food trucks will line Ed Linn Street to keep festival-goers fueled, offering a variety of treats and dinner options.
For safety and parade preparation, Main Street will be closed to traffic from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and with activities stretching from morning through evening, the Miracle on Main Christmas Festival is poised to be a heartwarming kickoff to the holiday season.
