Ganado police reports

On October 10, Ganado police received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 900 block of Phillips Avenue. The vehicle was later recovered abandoned in Dallas County on October 21.

The owner was notified.

No suspect has been identified.

On October 10, Ganado police conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of East Heard Street for a moving violation. Officers identified the driver as Braulio Jesus Cardenas Jr., 30, of El Campo. Following a roadside investigation, officers developed probable cause to believe Cardenas was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Cardenas was additionally discovered to have a subsequent conviction for the offense of Driving While Intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to the Jackson County Jail, where he was booked on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense, a Class A Misdemeanor. On October 20, Ganado police responded to a business in the 200 block of North Third Street in reference to a theft. Upon taking the complainants report, officers discovered a cellular phone had been stolen from an employee at the business. The employee was able to provide identifying information for the suspect.

The suspect was contacted and agreed to return the phone. The victim declined to pursue charges, and the phone was returned.

On October 20, Ganado police received a walk-in at the police department who wanted to report an assault by an ex-boyfriend. Officers spoke with witnesses and the suspect. Charges are pending.

On October 22, Ganado police responded to a hit-and-run in the 300 block of Elm Drive. A parked vehicle had been struck overnight. No suspect or suspect vehicle has been identified.

On October 23, Ganado police investigated a report of vandalism at a church in the 500 block of North Third Street. Some of the church’s playground equipment had been damaged earlier in the week. No suspect has been identified.

On October 24, Ganado police conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of South Third Street led to the arrest of Zoe Renee Pahmiyer, 24, of Ganado, on an outstanding Parker County warrant for Bail Jumping. Pahmiyer was booked into the Jackson County Jail.

On October 25, Ganado police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of East Putnam Avenue. Investigation revealed a boyfriend intentionally rammed his vehicle into his girlfriend’s following an altercation. A warrant for Criminal Mischief was obtained; charges for assault are pending.

On October 29, Ganado police received a report of a reckless driver on US Highway 59 south. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and observed the vehicle was travelling at an extremely high rate of speed. Officers were able to determine that the vehicle was travelling in excess of 115 mph. Officers were able to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver, identified as Darren Jamar Farrow, age 21, of El Campo, was placed under arrest for Reckless Driving, a Class B Misdemeanor.

Farrow was booked in at the Jackson County Jail.

All suspects have the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
