A health care worker once exclaimed, “I’m a nurse because miracle worker isn’t an official title!” Obviously, when hospitalized, one certainly desires a miracle, and our local Jackson County Hospital District understands health care and is providing Jackson County residents with outstanding access to the best.
Lance Smiga, Jackson County Hospital CEO/Administrator, will be on hand at the November 17, 2025, Jackson County Retired School Personnel meeting to provide updates on available services ranging from Cardio, Home Health, P.T., Swing Bed and Surgical options. With the advances in medicine and technology, JCHD continues to provide excellent care – and miracles can happen!
All local education retirees are invited to join the local group which continues to work for the betterment of the devoted retired school personnel. The November 17 meeting will be held at the Redeemer Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 504 Dugger Street in Edna at 11:45 a.m. The luncheon will be thoughtfully provided by the hospital.
Those individuals involved as hostesses are Chair Billie Grymes, Barbara James, Donna Peagler, Gayle Sachtleben, Nancy Schaffer, Connie Koop-Smiga, and Sue Warmann. Kelley Hobbs will offer an invocation prior to the meal, while Butch Norrell will lead the pledges.
Please RSVP to Kathy Johnson (361781-4004) by November 13 if you plan to attend as food prep, like health care, needs hard work to accomplish!
