Makynlee Ideus, of Corpus Christi, grandaughter of Edna’s Jane Pena, earned the Mighty Marlin award from Luther Jones Elementary.
She is the daughter of Monica and John Ideus.
The Mighty Marlin award is given to a new student every week, and must show good behavior and a caring student to earn the honor. The sign Makynlee is holding will be in their front yard for a week.
