Multiple departments, including search and rescue teams, have been on scene near the intersection of Mexico and Cedar streets in the last two weeks.
On October 6, Texas Equisearch sent out a message asking for help with foot searches in the area in the following days.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said that while no further information is available on the identity of the missing person, the child is not local and that JCSO is providing support for a DPS and Houston law enforcement investigation. They said there is no danger to the public.
