JCHD expands patient access to Ganado residents

Continuity of Care and Enhanced Services

Jackson County Hospital District recently announced the opening of Jackson County Medical Clinic of Ganado, in the former Midcoast WellCare Clinic building located at 204 S Fourth St. in Ganado.

The clinic will continue operating without interruption, and all current medical providers and staff members will remain with the facility, ensuring patients continue to see the faces they know and trust.

The acquisition of the WellCare clinic brings expanded resources and insurance coverage options to the community while maintaining the continuity of care patients have come to rely on.

“This acquisition represents our commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare throughout our service area,” said Lance Smiga, Chief Executive Officer of Jackson County Hospital District. “Our goal is to enhance what’s already working well while bringing additional resources that will benefit the entire community. We understand how important the patient-provider relationship is and have made it a priority to retain the entire care team.”

Clinic providers at Jackson County Medical Clinic’s newest location are Ron Kosanke, PAC, and Bruce Ramsey, PAC, who provide an array of medical services in the clinic. They are supported by Nancy Glover, LVN/MA and Janet Palomares, MA, in addition to front office workers Laura Hernandez and Hope Jasso.

“We’re excited about this new chapter and what it means for our patients,” added Kosanke. “Joining Jackson County Hospital District gives us the backing and resources we need to continue delivering the personalized care our community deserves, while also allowing us to serve more families.”

In the coming months, the facility will undergo renovations including new flooring, fresh paint, and other improvements to enhance the patient experience. All upgrades will be completed with minimal disruption to regular clinic operations and scheduling “Patients won’t see any interruption in their care,” said Jackson County Medical Clinic director, Danette Bethany. “They will find the same team and same dedication, with a new name and even more resources to serve their community.”

The clinic will continue to offer primary care for the entire family, wellness exams, chronic disease management, acute illness care, laboratory services and x-ray.

To schedule an appointment, patients can still call 361-771-3311.
