In the inspection reports, each violation in the Priority items 1-20 is 3 demerits, Priority Foundation items 21-33 are 2 demerits and Core items are 1 demerit. Zero is a perfect score, while 100 demerits is the worst possible score.
Food service inspections for the week ending July 17: Ganado Express, 1006 S. Third Street, Ganado. Demerits: 16. Cold hold temp. not in compliance, need hygiene handbook, bodily fluid kit needed, CFM needed, need test strips, no paper towels at hand sink, wear cap/hairnet when prepping food.
Inez Store LLC / Smitty’s, 9 FM 444 South, Inez. Demerits: 15. Ice bags need labels, expired Food Handlers, date labels, sanitizer strips expired, no paper towels at hand sink, all wood needs to be sealed, sanitizer cloths need to be in bucket at all times, lLast inspection needs to be visible to the public.
