It’s No Problem for this guy

It’s No Problem for this guy

If you’ve got a plumbing problem, then Mingo Garcia may be your fix-it guy.

Garcia owns No Problem Plumbing, LLC, and works with residential, commercial, and full service plumbing. Anything water, sewer, gas fixtures, water heaters, tubs and faucets.

Affable and ready to make you laugh, Garcia said he started in 1996 as a helper, and earned his journeyman plumber in 2001.

After working for different companies, he decided to obtain his masters, which is what one needs to begin a company.

Something he recalled saying to his co-workers upon leaving, “I’ve already climbed every mountain in this business; I think it’s time for me to make my own mountains to climb,” he said. “I started my company in 2011 and have been on my own since then and it’s been going strong.”

Garcia said he had to learn to take time for himself as he grew older. He worked and worked like most of us do when we’re young, until an older gentleman reminded him that although he’s in the business to make money, al-

“I learned I can’t accommodate everyone when they want it, and I take vacations and make sure to spend time with my family,” he said. “Even then, I rarely say no to my customers, even the new ones, or the ones who call on the weekend. Water leaks, emergencies, a family has a stopped up sewer line, I’ll do what I can.”

Garcia shared the good sides of being a plumber.

Sometimes, the client is elderly and wants someone to talk to, which Garcia has no problem doing. Even if he was there for only five minutes, he doesn’t mind staying longer for a chat.

Other times he’ll be at a house and it’s late enough that the family is cooking dinner, so they make him a plate to go home with.

“Sometimes they’ll call for a situation and feel bad about calling me. but they say once I’m here, they know they’ll have some quality conversation and laughs. That makes me happy,” he said.

Garcia did speak on his reason for working by himself. He had grand ideas for the future, but as everyone knows, the future has plans of its own.

“I had a goal that when I turned 47, 48, I was going to have two trucks going, two good journeyman plumbers going, and two good helpers. Then I could oversee everything and I could train them on how I do my service, attitude, personality… yeah, that never happened,” he laughed.

He said he’s tried hiring in the past, but reliability was an issue, or workers simply overselling themselves.

“I end up having to go back and fix things, plus people are used to seeing me and my service,” he said. “Sometimes it may take longer on a job, but I know it’s going to be done right and the customer is happy.”

He said being a plumber, he can tolerate a lot of smells, but he doesn’t deal in filthiness, if that makes sense. Many people assume he just deals in poop, but that’s false.

To learn more about what Garcia offers, give him a call at 361-235-2127. “I will always help when I can,” he said.
