An El Campo man has been indicted after his arrest in May for Attempted Murder.
Andrew Longoria, 32, was arrested on May 20 after reports that he had texted threats to his exwife, a Ganado resident.
According to the charge notes, Ganado Police Chief Nathan Besler responded to an apartment in Ganado “in reference to a female receiving threats from her ex-husband.”
The report states that the texts threatened the woman, and her new boyfriend, and stated that Lon- goria was “on his way.”
According to the report, text messages from Longoria threatened to shoot her in the face.
Longoria was apprehended after multiple calls reporting a reckless driver led police to his vehicle at an intersection in Ganado. Charge notes state that Longoria showed signs of intoxication at the time of his arrest. During a search of the vehicle, police located three handguns, two AR-15 rifles, and an armor-plated vest.
Longoria was indicted for Attempt to Commit Murder, a second degree felony. He is on bond and has appeared in court one time. His case has been reset.
