The following are the new Industrial teachers for the 2025-26 school year in alphabetical order.

Aundrea Barnes is from Edna and received two masters, in adult and higher education and education as a school counselor. Her most recent social, emotional and learning coordinator at Bloomington. Barnes will be the IJHS counselor.

Cullen Boston is an Edna High School graduate, and studying for a bachelor of art in history for secondary education at Grand Canyon University. His most recent teaching position was a paraprofessional and coach for Bloomington High School for a year. Boston will be a physical education teacher and coach at West Elementary.

Gared Chandler, from Hobson, earned his bachelor of science at Texas A&M University and a masters of education administration at Lamar University. He was a teacher and coach for a year at Cameron ISD and will be the football offensive coordinator and teacher at IHS.

Faith Coldewey, from Floresville, earned her bachelor of science in kinesiology at Texas Lutheran University. This will be her first year teaching, and she will be the IJHS eighth grade CTE and the assistant volleyball coach and assistant tennis coach.

Annie Colvin is from Comfort, and received her masters in information and library science and was a certified school librarian and an English language arts teacher. She was Comfort ISD district librarian, plus taught instructional technology and reading language arts teacher for six years and will start her nineteenth year in education by teaching fifth grade RLA and social studies teacher at IEW.

Joseph Cortez, of La Vernia, earned his bachelor of science in kinesiology at the University of Texas. He will be a physical therapy teacher and coach.

Jordan Fellers, from Waco, attended Baylor, Western Governor’s University, and Lamar University to earn a bachelor of science in education, masters in curriculum and instruction and principal certification, respectively. Fellers taught English for three years at El Campo Middle School, and will be the academic dean at IJHS.

Brenda Fulton, originally from York, PA, lives in Victoria and has a bachelor of science in criminal justice. She taught math for two years and a year of science at Howell Middle School. She will be teaching fifth grade science and math at IEW.

Marques Johnson, from Altair, taught a year of science at Victoria East High School. He will be the head basketball coach for the girls, junior high volleyball, and teach sixth grade CTE.

Michael Koehl, from Columbus, received his bachelor of arts at Sam Houston State University and his masters at the University of Houston at Clear Lake. He coached varsity football and head baseball at Cameron ISD and will be coaching head baseball and high school football.

Lacy Kolle, from Victoria, earned her education at the University of Houston at Victoria. She will be U.S. history and world geography at IHS.

Ray Lara, from Refugio, received his bachelor of science in mathematics with a chemistry minor from Southwestern University. For the last 10 years, he’s taught math and coached at Calhoun High School in Port Lavaca. He will be teaching geometry and coaching IJHS boy’s basketball and high school baseball.

Keeley Jo McKinney, from Poth, received her education at Howard Payne University and taught English I for a year at Poth High School. She will be teaching English for seventh grade and also coach cross-country and track.

Michelle Quintero, from Bloomington, received a bachelor of science in biology and a minor in psychology at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She was a girls’ coach and physical science at Manvel High School, and will teach Spanish at IHS.

Carissa Reyes, born in Fargo, North Dakota, lives in Victoria and earned her masters in special education and a bachelor of science at the University of Northern Colorado. For two years she taught special education at Aloe Elementary, and she will teach music and art for kindergarten through fifth grade at IEE.

Tara Shimek, from Hallettsville, received her bachelor of arts in humanities and English literature from the University of Houston in Victoria. Shimek most recently taught English I, II, III and theatre at Moulton High School. She will be the theatre director and IJHS and IHS and will teach English III at IHS.
