Lavaca-Navidad River Authority is once again offering waterfowl hunting opportunities on Lake Texana.
Four areas below SH 111 and five areas above US 59 have been designated for duck hunting during the 20252026 waterfowl season. Access to these areas will be boat ramp 1 (Simons Boat Ramp) and boat ramp 4 off US 59. These waterfowl hunting areas being made available will be on a lease basis only. Area selection will be based on a draw system and is only open to Jackson County residents.
Rules, regulations, and entry application forms are available at LNRA’s main office located at 4631 FM 3131, Edna, Texas, or www.lnra.org/ community/fish-andwildlife- management/ Applications and fees will not be accepted after 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 8th, 2025. The drawing will take place at the Authority’s main office on Wednesday, August 13th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
