Patsy Nell Price Hamman

    Patsy Nell Price Hamman went peacefully to the Lord, at home on Dec. 20, 2017, surrounded by her family at the age of 82.       Patsy is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Rev. J.V. Hamman of Columbus,  daughter Patricia and husband Ernie Reynolds of Columbus, daughter Pamela and husband Martin Rodriguez of Austin, son James and wife Beth Hamman of Blue Springs, Mo., and son Clarence Hamman and Vivian Payne of Bernardo.  ogether, they had 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.       Patsy was born Nov. 25, 1935 in Turner Town, Texas to Bennie and Maggie Price, formally of Columbus.  She graduated from Edna High School and was naturally gifted with art and music. She loved painting oil paintings and T-shirts.       Patsy was a devoted housewife for the love of her life, J.V. Hamman.  Together they ministered and faithfully served the Lord for over 60 years. She enjoyed playing the guitar and singing southern gospel music. Patsy worked for years with her mom and dad at the Columbus Saddlery. She was a natural, working with leather, rebuilding saddles and boots. Patsy never knew a stranger, and could start a conversation with anyone. She was the rock of the family and cornerstone of love and dedication. She cared for all, family, friends of family, and any stray animal that showed up at the doorstep.       It is a blessing to know she will be singing with the angels. Her blue eyes and shining light that she shone upon our hearts will be missed.       She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Maggie Price, sister, Mary Jean Leach, and grandson Bobby May.     Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 23, with Pastors Wesley Jacobson, Pastor Melvin Harris, and Pastor Daniel Poré, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus.     Pallbearers were James, Clarence, and Frankie Hamman, David Bornemann, Blake Paquette, Johnnathan Guthrie, Roscoe Truchard, and Michael Benedetti.     Online condolences may be given at www.hennekefuneralhome.com.
